Years before the Piaggio MP3 or Quadro 4 were even thought about a British man began working on what was to become his life’s work. Nick Shotter started designing and building his four wheeled 4-MC prototype way back in 1989, since then he’s sacrificed his career and life savings to try to get his design to market. We rode it a few years ago and were impressed at the way it handled and dug into the Tarmac, even in it’s naked state it had potential. Since then Quadro has launched its own four wheeled scooter but the 4MC is different enough to become its competitor in this growing sector of the market. Nick is still trying to raise funds to get his design finished to a standard that will allow a manufacturer to see beyond the rough exterior.
He’s just launched a Kickstarter project to create an electric version, with donations of between £5 and £2000 he hopes to raise three quarters of a million…in the next 30 days. Visit the page, donate if you can and let’s help this British eccentric to realise his dream: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1875448569/4mc-electric-vehicle-ev
